Alfakraft is active in the derivatives market, which means that we invest in different types of futures, forwards and options with the price of electricity as the underlying instrument. This enables us to take long or short positions which can result in positive yield irrespective of whether price developments in the underlying market are positive or negative
Alfakraft's overall strategy is that our products should be based on absolute yield instead of index. Our yield target is a stable, risk-adjusted absolute average yield of 15-25 per cent per annum with a balanced risk, which should be below 18 per cent, measured by standard deviation.
We offer institutional and private investors standardised discretionary management.
Alfakraft invests in financial electricity derivatives on the authorised Nordic electrical power exchange NordPool, which recorded a turnover of around SEK 470 billion in 2001. The electricity market is part of the commodities market and historically there has been a low correlation with the equity and interest markets. Therefore, to diversify risks in an existing portfolio of equities and interest-bearing instruments, it can be appropriate to invest part of your funds in financial electricity derivatives.
Business concept Alfakraft manages assets by investing in financial electricity derivatives listed on the authorised Nordic power exchange NordPool. Alfakraft's emphasis is capital management on a discretionary basis.
