General
The Fund company has been under the supervision of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) since March 2007. The Fund company is owned to 50 percent by Linden Leaf AB and to 50 percent by Thomas Stridsman.
CEO and Board members
Bengt Lindblad, Board Member and Chairman. Co-owner of ALFAKRAFT Fonder AB and CEO, founder and owner of ALFAKRAFT AB. Mr Lindblad has worked in the energy sector since 1986. ALFAKRAFT AB has conducted successful fund management in electricity trading from 1998 to 2008. As a part of the trading market, ALFAKRAFT AB has been one of the largest players in the Nordpool exchange. Mr Lindblad has worked as an engineer at Kvaerner Turbin, sales and marketing manager at VBB Construction, trader at Graningeverken, broker at Markedskraft AS and senior trader at Avenis in Switzerland. He has an Master of Business Administration in Industrial Management from Linkoping University.
Thomas Stridsman, Board member and CEO. Co-owner of ALFAKRAFT Fonder AB. Mr Stridsman is the trading and development manager for ALFA Commodity Fund. Stridsman has been developing quantitative models for model-based management since the early 1990s and training fund managers since the early 2000's. Mr Stridsman’s substantial involvement in the field has made him a recognized authority among many of his colleagues. He worked, most recently, as quantum trader and development manager for CQG in Denver, USA. Previously, he worked as Senior Researcher for Rotella Capital in Chicago, USA, which is one of the most respected companies in the sector. At Rotella Capital, Stridsman worked in close collaboration with the company’s founder.
Mr Stridsman has also gained a reputation as a prominent freelance analyst and lecturer. He has published several books and articles on the subject; Trading Systems That Work, Trading Systems and Money Management (McGraw-Hill publishers, New York), What Works in Online Trading, and The Global-Investor Book of Trading. He has a degree in National Economics from Uppsala University.
Mats Grube, Board member and co-owner of ALFAKRAFT Fonder AB and ALFAKRAFT AB. Mr Grube has worked 13 years in the consulting industry with a focus on strategy and change, both in Sweden and internationally. He has held several senior positions, including 6 years as CEO. Mr Grube has, over the past seven years, served as an active investor, owner and director of several companies, both listed and unlisted, in Sweden and abroad. He has extensive experience in organizational structure and corporate governance issues, as well as an established international network. Mr Mats holds a B. Sc. in Ba and Econ from the University of Stockholm.
Jan Erik Pedersen, Board member Mr Pedersen is currently working as an expert and advisor in the energy sector. As a Board member, he has a number of responsibilities. His work experiences include positions as a Trader on TEV/Statkraft, Senior Trader at ALFAKRAFT AB and Senior Trader at EGL Nordic. Mr Pedersen holds an MBA from the Norwegian Business School, NHH.
