The business is conducted by two companies: ALFAKRAFT AB and ALFAKRAFT Fonder AB. ALFAKRAFT AB is an investment company specializing in asset management. ALFAKRAFT Fonder AB is a fund company which manages the hedge funds: ALFA Commodity Fund and ALFA Energy Fund.
ALFAKRAFT was founded in 1998, and has since been engaged in the asset management of energy and commodities. ALFAKRAFT is an investment company that has been under the supervision of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authortiy (Finansinspektionen) since 1999. ALFAKRAFT offers institutions and private individuals the opportunity to invest in an alternative asset class that is a good complement to a more traditional investment portfolio.
ALFAKRAFT operates in the derivatives markets. We invest in different types of futures and funds, with commodities, currencies, interest rates and stock indices as the underlying instruments.
Historical performance
ALFAKRAFT has successfully managed its investors' money for a long period of time. The average annual return between 1998 to 2008 have been in excess of 30% with AUM at most amounted to 1 billion SEK
ALFAKRAFT began asset management in the electricity business already in 1998. In Janauary 2000, ALFAKRAFT started to manage external investors money, and in February 2004 the Hedge Fund ALFA Energy Fund was launched.
